FILLING THE EMPTY SHELVES OF THE UTAH FOOD BANK:
A Food Drive Benefiting The Utah Food Bank That Benefits Donors

Midvale, UT September 2, 2011– After a long difficult summer the Utah Food Bank has shelves that need to be filled. These later summer months are typically low months for food donations for food pantries and banks around Utah and this year is no exception. The Utah Food Bank announced earlier this summer that if they didn’t see a change, they risked running out of food. Not only were donations low, but government commodities have also decreased, further adding to the crisis.

To get through these tough summer months, the Utah Food Bank has asked that individuals and businesses organize summer food drives.

In answer to this call Balanced Health Chiropractic and Massage is sponsoring a Food Drive from September 5-16, 2011. The first 100 individuals who drop off a generous bag of non-perishable goods will receive a free new patient chiropractic visit. “We feel it’s important to give back to the community- and not just around the holiday months.” says Dr. Eric Cheney.

Individuals are invited to bring their donations to Balanced Health Chiropractic and Massage at 7200 S. State Street, Monday through Friday. For more information on Balanced Health please refer to our website: http://www.getbalancedhealth.com.
